The birthing process has started. Just this morning our pig birthed 5 piglets. We just had a big pig roast and now we are blessed with 5 more to raise up. I am reminded of how life is so bountiful! 3 months and 3 days is all the baking process the piglets need until they enter their purpose on our homestead.
It was about 10 years ago we found our little piece of heaven on earth. There were 11 of us; 9 children and my husband and I made the move of faith from Ohio to Tennessee. Yes we have had rough times but we wouldn’t trade what we are blessed with here in Tennessee.
We now have 6 teenagers living at home. We live totally off grid. We have solar and a couple generators for backup. We have a well with running water in our home. We have a mini split for air conditioner . We heat with wood and have on demand propane water heaters. Our home is a barndominium, 4 bedrooms, 2 baths. There is so much I want to share with you! Living off grid has always been a dream of mine.
